To celebrate Frieze Week, the 2024 KOTE Art Festival will be held throughout the entire Haebong Building in Insadong from September 3rd to 7th. Following last year’s Prada Mode, which focused on the historical significance of KOTE and explored film and culture, this year’s festival continues the theme with “Words from the Wind,” the documentary filmed at KOTE by WookHee Cine. The documentary explores the story and impact of legendary songwriter Kim Hee Gap, who defined a generation of popular Korean culture through his work. The festival will feature a diverse range of activities, including film, music, media art, traditional Korean music, dance, and DJing, exploring the roots and future of K-Culture.
KOTE aims to connect old and new, tradition and creativity. Our history as a space for multicultural and multidisciplinary exchange is on full view as we bring diverse artists, musicians, historians, filmmakers and communities together for the duration of our Frieze Week event.
We hope you will join us for a screening, a performance- or a sandwich from the seafood professionals @singsings_official.
